Faculty
I specialise in simulating structure formation in the Universe, such as galaxies and galaxy clusters.
I have been studying the formation of the first stars and galaxies in the Universe, as well as the origin of supermassive black holes, using numerical simulations. Recently, I’m also working on the formation of giant molecular clouds in the Milky Way.
Visiting Faculty
I have been working on numerical modeling of Active Galactic Nuclei and its observational verification, physics of Inter Stellar Medium, galactic dynamics/structures and formation of supermassive black holes.
Post Doctor
I have been studying the dynamics, formation and evolution of galaxies from low to high redshifts with simulations and analytic approaches.
Keywords: cosmological simulation, disc instability, spiral arm, giant clump, dark matter halo, line-emission modelling.
Research Students
I am a postdoctoral researcher. I am interested in the physical and chemical processes around the stellar surface and the circumstellar envelope of evolved giants. Now I am constructing the numerical code for MHD wind models from evolved giants including the effects of stellar pulsation and turbulent pressure.
Graduate Students
I study the star formation in barred spiral galaxies in simulations. Recent observations of barred spiral galaxies suggest that it is more difficult to form stars in bar regions than in spiral regions. I am trying to explain this with my models and comparing with observations.
I am working on numerical simulations of barred spiral galaxies, in interacting systems and in isolation, to consider star formation properties and compare with observations. I’m from Australia.
I’m from Hosei university and I studied the Dragonfly Telephoto Array, which has multiple lenses.
I’m interested in dark matter.
